Printingtalk is edited by Ian Mayor

Ian Mayor

Ian Mayor has spent 25 years in industrial and technical PR and marketing, with the majority of his experience within the printing and packaging industries. He has represented companies in the UK and internationally. Ian was a newspaper journalist and spent a number of years as an industrial and business correspondent for a major English provincial newspaper group, with a special interest in manufacturing. He is also a qualified sub-editor and has also worked with some of Britain's national newspapers, national radio and regional TV as a freelance correspondent. He was also an original member of the UK Broadcast Promotion and Marketing Executive committee. His passions include cricket (he is a qualified coach), the great outdoors, writing, landscape photography and music. He travels far and wide in pursuit of his musical interests and, amongst other things, he co-manages a music web site for which he also writes. A lifelong Manchester City supporter, he still has fond allegiances for his hometown club Bolton Wanderers and follows Leeds Tykes rugby union club. His ambitions are many and varied but he still hopes to one day tweak a cricket ball like Shane Warne and to play like Gilson Lavis or Gene Krupa.
