CTP System Quickly Up To Speed After Installation

ACC HSH Group PDF Organiser and Puzzleflow Light software package has been bundled with the CTP system.

The whole system has been delivered to Wroclaw straight from the stand at the fair.

Investment in CTP was an inevitable move in Prasowe Zaklady Graficzne's development plans.

The company has chosen the Xpose 130 system, which was delivered by Grafikus, the Luscher's Polish distributor.

The CTP system bought by Prasowe Zaklady Graficzne was bundled with a workflow system based on the software created by the ACC HSH Group of Poland.

The printing house has bought the package including PDF Organiser and Puzzleflow Light modules used for electronic stripping.

Both the CTP platesetter and the workflow system have been recommended by Grafikus, Luscher's Polish distributor.

Marcin Szelezin of Prasowe Zakldy Graficzne's CTP department, said: "After analysing the market offer we have recognised that Puzzleflow workflow and PDF Organiser will perfectly meet our needs." Xpose 130 is a thermal platesetter based on internal drum technology, offering 1130mm x 950mm plate size.

Just a little earlier, a bigger system of the same kind was bought by Ortis of Bydgoszcz.

Ortis and Prasowe Zaklady Graficzne have signed an agreement of cooperation, which covers items such as negotiating big printing orders.

PDF Organizer is the 3rd generation of the ACC HSH Group's imposition tool supporting PDF, TIFF, EPS, JPEG and DCS files as input documents.

The software incorporates PS files converted to PDF documents in the same publication.

PDF Organiser saves output as PDF documents, PJTF or JDF (the latest option to be added to Puzzleflow) files providing separation information for separated and colourant control for composite output files through embedded PJTF files, to mark output colourants and separation order.

Puzzleflow Light is one of the versions of a ACC HSH Group flagship workflow software.

The 'light' version offers an active queue management module as well as other modules featured in the basic version of Puzzleflow - Pre-flightcheck (initially verifies PDF files), PDF/XMaker (transforms PDF jobs in to PDF/X compliant documents), Normaliser (converts incoming PS, TIFF, JPEG, EPS, DCS files in to PDF format and verifies file settings), Pageselector (automatically changes the page order, selection, print sequence and number of copies in an incoming job) and Pagesplitter (splits multi-page input documents in to single pages).

Prasowe Zaklady Graficzne has also bought the Global Graphics Harlequin RIP.

Before investing in CTP system, Prasowe Zaklady Graficzne had been cooperating with Wroclaw-based CTP studios.

Just a few weeks after installing the Luscher/ACC HSH Group system, the printing house uses only the offset plates produced on its own CTP - approximately 1,200 plates per month.
