3-Year Print Management Deal For Surveyors
Accessplus has won a three year print management contract with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in the UK.
The contract covers a range of print management services and it is the first time the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors has outsourced its print production requirements.
Clive Gotch, business development director at Accessplus, commented: "RICS made a decision towards the end of 2006 to outsource its print services for the first time in its history.
The outsourced service replaces an in-house operation that had served the organisation well for over 20 years.
With a new five-year corporate strategy in place, RICS is looking to focus on key strategic objectives.
That provided an opportunity for a re-assessment of the organisation's operational plans moving forward." He added: "Five companies were invited to tender for the contract.
As this was the first time the RICS had put these services out to tender, it needed to be completely confident the company it appointed could consistently meet all its service expectations." Gotch said the key factors in RICS's decision to appoint Accessplus as its print management partner was the company's ability to transfer the in-house print business to an outsourced operation and offer a single-source partner for the full range of services for which RICS was looking.
And Gotch continued: "As RICS wanted a commercial model that could work right across its multiple locations across the country, our e-procurement technologies, including Collaborative Workflow System (CWS) and Edit2Print, also played a big part in the final decision.
It was important to us that RICS could see the benefits of working with a supplier that has a strong, integrated e-commerce service to underpin its core print management and business communication offering.
Both above e-commence products will form a key component of management of the RICS account." Mark Draisey, RICS financial controller, said: "Outsourcing our print operation follows a decision early last year to outsource our design and creative operations.
As we look to concentrate on our core activities, such as membership development and knowledge management, finding reliable business partners for our key support services will be crucial to our success." Jason Cromack, chief executive officer at Accessplus: "The RICS contract is a great demonstration of Accessplus's ability to offer a range of e-commerce and management services to meet a customer's specific needs.
Integrating our online services, such as CWS and Edit2Print with our management services from data and print right through to fulfilment and campaign delivery will provide RICS with a comprehensive and cost-effective outsourced print management service.".
