When Julie Peace, a sergeant with the Territorial Army (TA), was called up for duty, Adare Halcyon fully supported her secondment, even though she was pivotal to company-wide IT project that was underway at that particular time.
Time in the Gulf was hard for Peace and her squadron but morale was improved by her close friends at Adare Halcyon and, in particular, the IT department, with regular food parcels and daily e-mails being sent over to her.
Sabre, the employer reservist association, kept in constant contact throughout Julie's stint in the Gulf and maintained feedback with Adare Halcyon after the war ended.
Six employers from the Yorkshire and Humberside regions who employ reservist personnel, were selected from 280 people to meet Prince Charles by the Sabre staff, an honour bestowed upon Adare Halcyon, along with other organisations including Asda, Yorkshire Building Society and NHS.
