Adare Group Achieves Four Standards Accreditations
Adare, the corporate and marketing communications provider, has achieved four industry accreditations.
Adare, the corporate and marketing communications provider, has achieved four industry accreditations making it one of the first companies in the UK to be registered by BSI to an integrated management system (IMS).
The achievement has resulted in one policy covering quality, the environment, health and safety, as well as information security.
That now ensures the required management review process covers the whole system rather than just individual parts, said Adare.
Adare Lexicon was the company involved and it had already received registration to the ISO 9001 quality management standard, ISO 14001 environmental management standard, as well as specification for occupational health and safety (OHSAS 18001).
It was that, plus satisfying specific additional criteria, that rewarded them with registration to the IMS.
However the company went one step further and gained accreditation to ISO 27001 for information security management, making it one of only a handful of companies to have all those accreditations in one integrated management system.
To add to the achievement, Adare gained the accreditation in less than 10 months.
Glyn Tomkins, quality manager at Adare Lexicon, said: "Adare has now been registered by BSi to an integrated management system, whereby companies have to meet laid down criteria, plus the requirements of the three individual standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001).
In addition we have integrated the requirements of ISO 27001 in to these policies and procedures giving Adare a fully integrated system." He added: "Overall, our aim is to offer clients the highest level of service and delivery at every touch point in our relationship.
The accreditations are proof that we are measuring and consistently maintaining these levels." The type of accreditations mean that Adare is able to offer a fully secure environment to clients who, in turn, can be confident that their information is stored, printed and, when necessary, disposed of confidentially under the tightest of regimes, added the company.
The accreditations also cover health and safety credentials, which are becoming more important to companies which expect suppliers to demonstrate that they are protecting their staff and providing a safe working environment.
Likewise, many UK companies now want to encourage suppliers to safeguard the environment and encourage recycling wherever possible, which is recognised in the ISO 14001.
Two further Adare companies have also achieved accreditation to the most recently introduced ISO 27001 standard earlier this year, demonstrating the importance the company places on reaching the highest of standards, it commented.
Adare Halcyon and secure print specialist Kalamazoo Security Print, both added the ISO 27001 to their credentials, which already include APACS Bank Giro credit certification and CPAS accreditation for the production of giro credits and cheques.
Adare operations director, Barry Crich, added: "For these companies to have gained the ISO 27001 accreditation so soon after introduction is a fantastic achievement.
It is a very positive and added bonus that we have also managed to gain the full integrated management system certificate." Crich further added: "Secure print and mailing services are an integral part of Adare's operations and many of the systems and procedures required for the registration have already been in place for some time.
Many of Adare's customers are from the financial services sector, where security of information is paramount." And he continued: "The standards cover every aspect of information security, from recruitment and email use through to the production and storage of goods and the physical security of the site.
The application process involved continuing commitment from all areas of the business and our success reflects everyone's hard work and commitment to improving standards and services across every part of the organisation.".
