Adare has announced the appointment of Gary Verity to the position of managing director of Adare ODC (On Demand Communications).

Adare has announced the appointment of Gary Verity to the position of managing director of Adare ODC (On Demand Communications), the UK provider of print on demand services to the corporate and public sector.

Verity's appointment follows the decision by current chairman, Roger Crudgington, to retire.

Yorkshire born, Verity, 42, will take on responsibility for Adare ODC which incorporates Prontaprint and Kall Kwik.

He will oversee the operations, profitability, development and franchisee support across both networks, which cover over 320 business design and print centres across the UK and Ireland.

Adare said that Verity joins the company with a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from a number of senior positions in several FTSE 100 companies.

They include a time as chief operating officer of Johnson Service Group, managing director of Bradford and Bingley Property Services and various director level positions at Royal Sun Alliance Life and Pensions.

Benefiting from international experience in the service sector and over 20 years' specialisation in turn-around, growth and high performance cultures, Verity also has expertise in organisations that demand in-depth understanding of organisational structure and the ability to deliver through people, added Adare.

Crudgington and Verity will work together to ensure a smooth and effective handover before the chairman's official retirement at the end of December.

Roger Crudgington has played a major role in ensuring the future success of Prontaprint and Kall Kwik over the past two and a half years by employing strong, talented personnel who have developed new and effective strategies for the future, said the company.

Verity commented: "I look forward to embracing a challenging and diverse role within Adare ODC.

I join a talented team of individuals and I feel privileged to be working alongside to strategically drive the future growth of the company." Robert Whiteside, chief executive of Adare, continued: "We have no doubt that Gary's considerable experience will drive the business forward and take Adare ODC, and Prontaprint and Kall Kwik to new levels of performance and success.

At the same time we wish Roger every happiness in his well-earned retirement.".
