£1m investment in additional laser capacity enhances mailing capabilities Corporate and Marketing Communications provider, Adare, has made its first significant investment - reaching a long-term deal with supply partner Oce - since the company underwent a management buyout in March.

The near £1million investment will result in a 35% increase in cut-sheet and continuous laser printing capacity through the purchase of new, top of the range, faster, more reliable Oce equipment.

The key outcome will be enhanced customer service through faster turnarounds and greater efficiency and productivity, but will also achieve greater compatibility and contingency across Adare's various mailing operations.

Adare has signed an agreement with Oce for five high performance production systems - three Oce VarioStream 7650s and two VarioPrint 5160s as well as software systems from Oce that include PRISMA and TrueProof.

All the machines are configured at 600dpi print quality without any reduction in throughput speed.

Adare will be using the new equipment to enhance the corporate and marketing communications services it currently offers to its clients specifically in direct mail and transactional mail.

Barry Crich, Adare's Group Operations Director, said: "Oce has been a reliable supplier to Adare for many years".

"Its equipment is proven in the marketplace and best suited our needs for reliability and speed".

"Most importantly, the flexibility provided through the quality of output, MICR capability and highlight colour capability means we can expand our offering to our clients whilst providing an even faster turnaround on their mailings".

"The additional equipment also provides greater contingency, giving our customers the added assurance that their mailings deadlines will always be achieved".

"This substantial investment confirms our commitment to invest in our businesses and maximise performance across the board." Simon Wheeler, Director of Oce UK 's Digital Document Systems Commercial Division, said: "Adare clearly already had a strong mailing operation".

"This is a significant investment that will make it even stronger".

"Because of our excellent relationship with Adare and our understanding of their business requirements we were able to provide them with high performance equipment which matched their needs and consequently enables them to enhance their offering to their customers.".
