Heineken's decision was based on Adare's industry knowledge, proactive account management style and proven experience of working with other major global brands, said Adare.
Adare will also be tasked with developing new marketing and POS concepts to provide additional service benefits, including the use of its creative studio to support work overflow from Heineken's own in-house design team.
Heineken's priorities in making the appointment were to generate cost savings through focused and professional print management, coupled with freeing-up the time of its in-house team to concentrate on its core activities of marketing, promotions and design, said the brewer.
Adare's chief executive officer, Robert Whiteside, said: "We're thrilled to be working with such an internationally renowned brand.
We have a proven track record of delivering print management for a variety of marketing requirements.
Our objective, therefore, is to apply this expertise to the Heineken contract to guarantee the consistency in quality, speed of print turn-around and brand management that Heineken is looking for." Heineken's UK headquarters is near Adare's Wimbledon office and Whiteside added: "This close proximity will enable our dedicated account management team to offer maximum support and build a strong and effective working relationship with Heineken." Chris Duffy, head of customer marketing for Heineken, added: "Adare was a natural fit given the company's solid credentials in working with a diverse portfolio of blue chip clients and print management expertise.
It was also important to find a personality match between ourselves and our chosen partner - something which was apparent from our very first dealings with the team and which will be vital in delivering our key marketing campaigns throughout 2007.".
