Under the banner of Adeptise Design and Creative Services, Adept is now offering its design and marketing services and facilities as a service to other companies and organisations.

The UK multi-source supplier of personal computing products for the engineering and scientific markets, Adept Scientific said that an important component of its success has been the marketing skills the company has developed over the years, especially in the areas of graphic design, direct mail, product and sales literature and web marketing.

The company believes that those skills that can be applied to other business-to-business markets, including the printing industry and allied areas.

Adept said its creative design skills has underpinned the company's growth over its 22 year history.

The company's in-house team of graphic and web designers, and other marketing professionals - each of whom have been with Adept for at least six years - is equipped to expand its operations to provide the new service.

The Adeptise team is said to specialise in producing design to a budget, with the primary aim of improving sales.

The company believes it has the skills and the resources to create and produce effective marketing materials, incuding brochures, newsletters, magazines, advertisements, direct mail pieces, exhibition displays, packaging, company logos, corporate stationery and web sites.

It claimed that unlike many traditional design agencies, the Adeptise team operates in what it described as the real business world, understanding that most organisations' marketing budgets are not there to win awards but to generate sales revenue.

Adeptise does not employ account executives to manage the relationship with the client.

Adeptise commented that it does not look to tie clients in to long-term contracts or monthly retainers as it is happy to work on a job-by-job basis, quoting for individual projects.

The company's creative director, Wendy Tobitt, said: "We're happy to bet our future success on the quality and effectiveness of the work we do." As well as company branding and flat graphics, she said that Adeptise can also provide a range of additional services, including copywriting, photography, print and mailing house management.

With the growth of the internet as a major marketing channel, the company has also web development expertise and can help with web hosting and development, together with associated email marketing and e-commerce.
