Graphics and imaging server software upgrade
Adobe is now shipping Adobe Graphics Server 2.0, the newest version of its graphics and imaging server software
Adobe is now shipping Adobe Graphics Server 2.0, the newest version of its graphics and imaging server software.
With support for network publishing workflows, Adobe Graphics Server enables businesses to easily create, update and repurpose high-quality images used in a variety of mediums for more effective branding and merchandising.
Adobe Graphics Server is designed to be used in both Web and cross-media workflows, while meeting the requirements of content management, asset management and prepress systems.
The software has attracted industry support from leading integrators and partners, including Artesia, Burntsand, Context Media, Documentum, MediaBin, NetXposure, North Plains and WebWare.
With support for open standards and APIs, Adobe Graphics Server runs on major application servers from BEA, IBM, iPlanet, and Oracle.
"For our project with the British Library, we needed to rapidly convert over 100,000 images into a range of formats for delivery on the Web," said David Macken, engineering director for Computer Horizons.
"We needed the best image quality, full control of image parameters, speed and ease of integration.
Adobe Graphics Server was the only solution that came close to meeting these criteria." Located in the UK, Computer Horizons specializes in building internet, intranet and e-commerce solutions for customers such as Buzz (KLM) Airlines, Her Majesty's Treasury and Pfizer.
