Software Converts EPS Files In Any Web Browser
Affinity Express has combined with the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) to develop and launch a free tool that will enable ASI members to convert EPS files for viewing in any web browser.
Affinity Express's chief executive officer, James Daleen, explained: "Our company decided that our number one strategic focus will be the newspaper industry.
That's why we are excited to be the first to deliver a viable system that saves publishers as much as 30 per cent - 50 per cent of costs over time.
But the Affinity Express-Mediaspectrum offering is more than an expense-cutting measure.
It's a means to help newspapers sustain business, whilst transforming their organisations, competing with major web engines and facilitating growth." Daleen added: "We've learned from direct client experience that to effectively maximise an off-site labour pool in the demanding and deadline-oriented newspaper environment, a redefined workflow and robust technology is required.
After thorough research, we determined that Mediaspectrum's web-based and JAVA-based architecture was the best approach to provide an interface between publishers, sales people, their clients, account support personnel and advertisement production." Mediaspectrum's chief executive officer, Scott Killoh, commented: "The newspaper industry is under tremendous pressure to act today.
Whilst there are other companies offering pieces of the puzzle, the team of Affinity Express and Mediaspectrum is the only set up with integrated, specialised workforces, domain expertise and the current technology to address all facets of ad production.
It's a joint system with one vision: to achieve cost savings now and finance transformation over time." Affinity Express announced earlier this month that the system was successfully installed at The Columbus Dispatch (Dispatch Printing Company) and that Affinity Express has been providing all advertising production services to the publisher.
It has been doing so using a Mediaspectrum workflow and a blend of dedicated on-site, off-site and offshore resources under a multi-year agreement.
