AGI Labels, the Littlehampton (UK) digital print company, has named Bob Blow as its new director of labels.

AGI Labels, the Littlehampton (UK) digital print company, has named Bob Blow as its new director of labels.

Blow began his career at the age of 16 as a printer's apprentice and rose through the ranks, holding various production management positions until being named as managing director of BPC Hannibal in Leicester.

He held that post for 15 years.

Selected by AGI Labels for his track-record and business experience, the company said that Blow will pioneer a number of initiatives within AGI Labels.

In particular, he will lead an agenda based on the careful stewardship of the company, attention to efficiency, the elimination of waste and an enhanced relationship with key suppliers and clients.

An AGI spokeperson said: "I am immensely proud of the team at AGI Labels.

We have a great spirit here, and some really strong teams - salespeople and technical specialists alike.

As we all know, we are dealing with a tough market and working to some tough margins.

However, we have made a complete review of materials and suppliers, and I am proud to announce that we have held our prices in check - despite all the outside pressures.

Our blend of large-circulation and niche work, plus the excellent range of printing machinery at the plant - from HP Indigo to Gallus - means that AGI Labels is fully-equipped for a great 2006.".
