Apogee Suite 6.0 features core system enhancements

Agfa Graphics has announced that it has installed more than 6,000 Apogee software systems worldwide.
Apogee Suite 6.0 is said to provide a series of new applications, as well as changes in the core of the system.
Agfa said these changes have resulted in an increase in performance.
V6.0 has been available since early 2009 and Agfa said that all new installations take advantage of the new enhancements, while 30 per cent of the existing users have upgraded their system since then.
Apogee Suite 6.0 comes as a software family.
Apogee Pre-press provides a fully automated and JDF enabled pre-press production hub.
It manages, controls, and renders the PDFs.
Apogee Colour integrates quality and colour management throughout the production cycle.
Apogee Portal is said to strengthen the communication and collaboration between printers and customers, while Apogee Media focuses more on editorial and content management aspects in the publishing workflow.
