"Previously we had to guillotine everything that we folded and stapled on the bookletmaker, which was very labour intensive, but now with the on-line trimmer, we can do it in a fraction of the time," said Neale.
Coles looked at adding a bookletmaker to its Horizon vertical collator but could not justify the additional cost involved.
"We are very impressed with the robust nature and simplicity of set up between jobs.
We get a lot of regular short run magazines to print and finish and the Kasfold is ideal for that.
For example, we produce 2000 copies of a 40-page and 3000 copies of a 48-page magazine every month.
The new bookletmaker uses the latest technology, which gives us a first class result because the stitching unit is very positive.
Added to that, we have been very pleased with the service we have had from Ashgate.
The company gave us a good price and it is a nice company to deal with.".
