Kall Kwik Digital Business Centre in Cornhill in the City of London has installed a Kasfold Sprint 3000 bookletmaker.

Kall Kwik Digital Business Centre in Cornhill in the City of London has installed a Kasfold Sprint 3000 bookletmaker.

It is the second piece of equipment that the franchise has purchased from Ashgate Automation in less than a year.

Richard Adler, the managing director of the Kall Kwik centre, said: "Our previous bookletmaker was giving us static problems on digitally printed material.

It meant that we have to wait a day after we printed a job before we could finish it for the static to disappear.

As some of our jobs are very urgent, we had to look at an alternative solution." He continued: "Ashgate Automation, which is one of our best suppliers, recommended the new generation of Kasfold bookletmakers that have been specifically designed to handle digitally printed paper.

We had it on trial for a week and it has worked very well ever since.

Static is no longer a problem.

Ashgate, as always has been very supportive, which is why we continue to buy from them." Kall Kwik bought the bookletmaker with an on-line trimmer and although the centre did not need it for 60 per cent of the books it finishes, it has is a very useful time saving addition, particularly when Kall Kwik has long runs, with its more professional finish than guillotining separately.
