An Ashgate Automation product story

Ashgate has launched two new products - the Crease Matic 150P digital card creaser with perforator and the Fastbind Casematic XT hardcover-maker.

Ashgate has launched two new products - the Crease Matic 150P digital card creaser with perforator and the Fastbind Casematic XT hardcover-maker.

The Crease Matic 150P digital card creaser is now available with a new rotary perforating attachment.

According to Ashgate, the CM150P has proved a popular choice for digital printers needing a matrix style creaser to crease to prevent cracking when folding digitally printed card.

It is now combined with a sheet perforator, all in one machine.

The CM150P is claimed to be around half the price of other fully automatic models on the market and handles a range of stocks from 80gsm to 400gsm.

The new Fastbind Casematic XT hardcover-maker provides the on-demand printer a method of producing personalised hardcovers in any size up to A3, which can then be bound on the Fastbind perfect binder, said Ashgate.

The company's Kasfold Sprint 3000 bookletmaker and trimmer now has what is described as the latest high-speed knife system to prevent marking when folding and stapling digitally printed books.

A6, A5 and A4 books can be produced on the system at a claimed 1,000 books per hour.
