Re-Equipped Finishing For Digitally
Printed Books
Ashgate Automation has equipped the finishing department at Elision Health, a new company established last year to work with healthcare professionals.
The company bought a Kasfold Sprint 3000 bookletmaker with TR2 trimmer, Horizon QCS300 collator, Fastbind Elite binder, an Ideal guillotine, a wiro binder and a manual digital creaser Adrian Jefferies, graphics manager at Elision Health, had bought finishing equipment previously from Ashgate and had no hesitation in using the company again

Creaser Compliments Digital Printer
Ashgate Automation has installed one of the first of its new KAS Crease Matic 150 programmable card creasers at Vision Print Marketing in Wolverhampton (UK).
He said: "We've been pleased with the service Ashgate has provided.
Its range of equipment is ideal for a small inplant department where space is fairly tight.
We went out for three quotes but it was quite difficult to find a supplier that could provide everything that met our specifications." Jefferies added: "Our main requirement for the finishing equipment is to produce digitally printed books and booklets for our training courses, the first one of which starts this month.
We didn't want to rely on an outside finishing company, because we will have to turn work round very quickly." He explained that the advantage of having a Kasfold bookletmaker and a Fastbind Elite binder is that it gives Elision Health the flexibility to produce a range of training material.
It is using the bookletmaker to fold, stitch and trim booklets up to 24 pages, whereas it can produce bound books up to 200 pages with a glued spine on the Fastbind.
And Jefferies continued: "We can also wire bind books from 50 to 200 pages, which gives us all the versatility we require.
My boss does a lot of motivational speaking, which in the past required production of 300 personalised delegate books a week.
We are now equipped to provide the same level of service in the new company.".
