The Crease Matic Auto50 suction fed, programmable card creaser with rotary perforator from KAS PAper Systems will be distributed in the UK through Ashgate Automation.

KAS Paper Systems has added the automated creaser-perforator to its Crease Matic range and the new model has been developed to satisfy a requirement for higher volume digital and litho printers, said the company.

Claimed to operate at up to 7,000 sheets an hour, with a bottom feeder for continuous production, the new model will handle sheets from CD through to SRA2 size.

The system will be previewed on the Ashgate Automation stand - stand 540 - at Digital Print World.

Ashgate said it is confident that it will appeal to A3 printers as it will give them the facility to crease the long edge of A3 sheets for wine bar and restaurant menus, for instance, as well as being able to run A4 jobs such as A4 letter fold, two-up.

The Crease Matic Auto50 is fully programmable, with up to 29 creases capable of being programmed per sheet.

Ninety-nine jobs can be stored in the memory, making it useful for regular jobs.
