Cheaper card personalisation on show in Asia
The Cartes in Asia and Cards Asia and Prepaid Asia exhibitions will see Atlantic Zeiser how companies can create new card personalisation opportunities and cut costs.
Atlantic Zeiser will present its Omega drop on demand (DOD) systems in hall three on stand E34, at Cartes in Asia, Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, at Cards Asia, which is being staged in Singapore, Atlantic Zeiser can be found in hall 4 on stand G01.
One of Atlantic Zeiser's latest developments is its DOD technology, which is used for flat financial cards and EMV cards that is claimed to lower the cost per card has been by all major payment networks.
New and enhanced Atlantic Zeiser systems on show at the exhibitions meet the needs of a range of users, from program managers, financial institutions, telecommunication industry, and processors to card manufacturers.
One of Atlantic Zeiser's new developments is its White Ink Printing, which is said to improve the look and feel of cards with dark backgrounds.
The core element of all Atlantic Zeiser Card-Perso Systems is the in-house designed Omega DOD inkjet printing technology, with claimed print resolutions of up to 720 dots per inch (dpi) and speeds of up to 30,000 cards per hour.
The centrepiece of Atlantic Zeiser's presentations will include a secure PIN scratch-off module, which is said to be an alternative to traditional scratch-off labels and scratch-foils.
The module is said to be suitable for multi-voucher pre-paid applications.
It combines security and low consumables costs, and features the flexibility of Atlantic Zeiser's Cardline Versa.
Atlantic Zeiser will also show its Vericam, a graphical user interface that is said to make using all the functions easier than before.
This capability is already operational on Cardline Versa systems.
The company said that its White Ink will be a highlight at the shows and it will be demonstrated with Atlantic Zeiser's Omega 70P printer for DOD Inkjet printing on dark backgrounds.
It is commonly used in the card industry for high-level, quality-oriented card applications.
White ink is said to greatly improve the look and feel of cards, and can simulate embossing on cards.
This offers increased diversification opportunities for card manufacturers.
Atlantic Zeiser's white ink package consists of Atlantic Zeiser ink, the new Omega 70P printer and a corresponding UV-dryer.
Rene Stoerk, Atlantic Zeiser's sales director for cards systems, said: 'Printing with white ink using inkjet has been difficult to implement in card applications because of the sedimentation that tends to block the ink supply systems.
We've overcome this problem by using our special DOD printer.
