City Printing Goes To Town With Xerox Digital
London's City Printing has invested ?115,000 with Litho Supplies to install a Xerox Docucolor 5252, making it the first DC5252 to be installed in the London area by Litho Supplies.
The company found that its existing production printer had handling problems with oversize A3 paper, so Anacomp recommended the DDP92 fitted with a container stacker as a suitable system to handle the work.
Duncan Sargeant, head of printer business development at Anacomp, said: "The DDP92 has even exceeded the manufacturer's expectations, exceeding 4.2 million impressions in the first four months.
It has also saved ID Data money, as the performance and reliability, combined with Anacomp providing round the clock maintenance charged on a usage-only basis, has enabled ID Data to remove one of its old printers." Anacomp printer maintenance services are available for all the Xerox, IBM and Ricoh production print systems.
Anacomp has also just demonstrated continuous forms production, with the Ricoh Typhoon T120 and high-speed, cut-sheet printing with the Ricoh DDP92 agt the Digital Print World show this week in London.
The company is an official distributor of Ricoh high-speed laser printers and Ancacomp's full digital print production portfolio also includes refurbished Xerox and IBM high-speed laser print systems.
Duncan Sargeant commented: "The Ricoh systems are ideal for fast, flexible mailing jobs in print production environments.
We are seeing strong demand from printers, direct mail houses and in-house data centres seeking to replace their existing laser printers that tend to have paper handling problems and limited speed when using oversize paper stock.".
