Autobox of Leighton Buzzard (UK), manufacturers of short run box making machinery, will show its printer's in-house box making system at Drupa 2004 Comprising the Boxmaker 1065, the box making systems also include the proven Slitter SC124 and a TEC3200 hot-melt glue gun to close the newly made boxes

The company said that combination is particularly suited to printers as it produces a variety a wraps to protect valuable work, or any size of corrugated case from matchbox size to pallet-box size for general packaging.

That allows the printer, who needs a variety of box styles and box sizes, to manufacture his own in-house and on a just-in-time basis.

The benefits to be gained include major savings on storage space and box cost, as well as being able to produce exactly the right sized wrap, pack or box, just when they are needed, claimed Autobox.

Only seconds are required to change between box size, and style, or to make a completely new box, while there is an on-board memory to store the characteristics of the more popular items, said the company.

No previous knowledge of box making is necessary as it only takes a few minutes for an operator to become proficient and able to manufacture correct size of corrugated cases just as they are required - singly or by the hundred, added Autobox.

Autobox is exhibiting at Drupa 2004 in conjunction with its distributor, MCS-Agency, which also offers showrooms nearby for those customers who would like to see all of the Autobox range.

With more than 23 years experience, Autobox designs, develops and manufactures its short-run box making machines to IS09001 standards and has over 1600 installations to date world-wide it said.

The Autobox stand at Drupa 2004 is12/ E73.
