Bill Appleton, consultant screen-printing specialist with Autotype International Ltd, will be the guest speaker at the next Hungarian Screen Printing Association's conference (April 23-24 2004) With over 47 years experience in the printing industry, Bill Appleton has had numerous papers published on the subject of screen printing and was responsible for initiating the SPA UK team's work on a number of industry standards, including the ISO Screen Process Standard for four colour process printing

The conference will be attended by delegates from various eastern European countries and is designed to bring the Hungarian SPA up to date on the latest screen-printing developments in the UK.

Appleton first presented at the Hungarian SPA in 1996 and this is now the fourth conference in which he has been invited to participate.

He will be presenting nine key topics at the two-day event and the themes being discussed will include developments in colour reproduction, the ideal sequence for printing CMYK, controlling colour matching as well as relevant ISO standards.

In addition, he will be discussing the Moir? prediction programme, developed by Professor Stephen Abbott, as well as Autotype's Capillex CP stencil system that has been designed to control the two most critical stencil variables - stencil profile and flatness.
