The optical quality of FootPrint is vital to us.
The clear image achieves the desired effect that we wanted and installation was hassle-free." Footprint is also claimed to be highly durable and it features an anti-slip surface and dimensional stability, which is particularly important.
"If a material is too flexible, such as PVC, it becomes almost impossible to align the patterns of the different sheets," added Verkerk.
Exposize used the HP 5500 inkjet printer to print at eight metres per hour.
The FootPrint film is 1.2 metres wide and was printed at a maximum length of 20 metres sections.
Given the large surface areas involved, the application of the floor graphics was extremely straightforward said Verkerk.
"Despite the complexity and overall size of this project, it only took us four weeks to produce and install more than 2,000 square metres of Footprint." Autotpye said that Footprint is widely used in a variety of retail and supermarket environments and is known to stand up to the rigours of the high numbers of visitors expected at the exhibition.
In addition, Footprint met the specific health and safety requirements of the museum authorities for slip test approval, as well as being easy to remove, with no damage to the floor surface added Autotype. Request a free brochure from MacDermid Autotype ...
