MacDermid Autotype is enabling a Dutch screen printer working in India to create large format prints from original works of art with its indirect stencil film.
Autotype Capillex CX and CP Controlled profile stencils, are designed specifically for the most demanding precision screen printing applications from optical media to micro-electronics, said the company.
When used in partnership with CPS screen chemicals they give the printer a level of process control that is unobtainable using conventional stencil technology, claimed MaDermid Autotype.
It is this improvement in process reliability that can reduce wastage and set up costs and improve the printer's profitability.
The latest antimicrobial films from MacDermid Autotype have been developed for the production of displays, fascia, graphic panels and other applications requiring high levels of clarity, durability and scratch and chemical resistance.
The films feature in- built Microban anti-microbial protection, which is claimed to inhibit the growth of bacteria, mould and fungi where cleanliness and hygiene are of paramount importance.
MacDermid Autotype's Footprint system has been designed for creating durable floor graphics in environments ranging from hospitals to exhibition spaces.
The system features a two-layer composition, which enables images to remain vibrant and sharp, as they can be printed directly on to the underside of the top layer and protected by the hard wearing, high clarity film without being affected by possible contamination from the adhesive, it is claimed.
