Avery Dennison Roll Materials Europe has introduced a new high-performance permanent grade to its portfolio of specialty adhesives on Fasson-brand self-adhesive film labelstocks - Fasson S4700.
The on-line platform is claimed to give the converter a straightforward way of matching the Fasson products and consumable materials that are best suited for almost all of the main laser printer models on today's market.
It is the latest addition to Fasson Printer and Supplies Advisor, the new name for Fasson Ink, Die and Ribbon Advice, the materials sourcing platform that forms part of the company's overall service package, Fasson Advantage.
Commented Anne Christine van Geelen, Fasson's web content manager: "The new name for this platform best reflects our ambition to build partnerships at all stages of the labelling value chain.

Label-Within-Label Embodies Print Flexibility
Avery Dennison Roll Materials Europe has claimed to have added another dimension to the function of the self-adhesive laminate.
This is so we can give customers more information about how our products perform during printing and offer a one-stop shop for advice.
The addition of Fasson Laser Copyjet Recommendations makes numerous compatibility test reports, based on pre-tested materials, available to the converter as well.
It is a vast knowledge-base, which has been created as a result of the extensive tests we have done on commercially-available laser printers." The optimum combination of printer and consumable components for Fasson material is achieved as Fasson Laser Copyjet Printer Recommendations take the converter through a series of simple menus, including printing machine manufacturer, printer model, and Fasson product said Avery Dennison.
Access to detailed test reports is available at the click of the mouse.
Ms van Geelen continued: "We're continually striving to devise innovations that help our partners achieve enhanced productivity, flexibility and quality.
The arrival of Recommendations is a perfect example, since it effectively removes the need for converters to conduct time-consuming tests.
We have all the latest printer models from the world's leading manufacturers at our Applications Laboratory in Leiden, Netherlands.
These include brands such as Lexmark, Hewlett Packard, Brother and Kyocera, to name but a few.
On these, we have fully evaluated the performance of the 16 existing Fasson laser application products, according to a detailed testing procedure." The test protocol, which each Fasson laser product undergoes is based on print quality tests, an examination of toner anchorage and marks, bent corners, folds, wrinkles and creases; performance tests looking for the occurrence of jamming, misfeeds, multiple feed-registration, label lifts and matrix lifts.
The printer is also checked for drum pollution and the accumulation of residue.
"The arrival of this extension to our Advisor saves our customers valuable time in what, until now, has been a highly complicated materials sourcing process.
Customers have 24 hours a day access to our extensive results, which dispenses with the need to liaise with customer sales representatives, or to carry out in-house trials.
The converter can thus enjoy better productivity, and offer shorter lead times, with the assurance that the materials selected are the best solution for achieving optimal quality and problem-free conversion," added van Geelen.
