Atex Group has completed the acquisition of the business assets of Unisys Media, formerly a part of Unisys Corporation.
All Unisys staff and the company's Hermes product suite will be absorbed in to the enlarged Atex business.
Roberto Antoniotti, formerly vice president and general manager of global media at Unisys will become responsible for the Atex content management division, as well as becoming chief executive officer for the Latin America and southern Europe regions.
David Hall will become chief executive officer for northern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India regions, whilst Johan Seeman, chief executive officer of the recently acquired Mactive Group becomes responsible for Atex Group's advertising business worldwide.
Other Atex management positions remain unchanged.
John Hawkins, Atex Group chief executive officer, said: "This strategic acquisition means that the industry now has an even stronger global technology partner.
Our experienced management team will be able to accelerate the delivery of the cross media systems our customers need to even more effectively serve their readers and advertisers, wherever they are located and however they want their content delivered." Together with all the 150-plus Unisys Media employees transferred to Atex, the enlarged company employs around 600 people, creating the largest digital content management and multi-media software delivery capability in the world, it is claimed.
It will serve more than 800 print and online publishing organisations and thousands of titles in around 40 countries, enjoying global revenues in excess of US$120 million dollars.
