German Newspaper's New Content
Management
Ostsee-Zeitung, the regional daily newspaper in the Baltic region of north Germany, has selected Atex to provide a content management system to streamline its print and web operations.
Part of the Axel Springer Group, Ostsee-Zeitung chose the design and configuration options provided by the Atex Content Management Solution, which are claimed to make it flexible and easy-to-use, whilst its open and scalable architecture supports concurrent users on-site or off-site The new 180-user system will be integrated in to the existing IT operation, which includes a PPI system for planning and production control

Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL) in London has opted for a new editorial content management system from Atex.
Based in Rostock, the Ostsee-Zeitung provides news in the coastal range of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania region, which covers a distribution area of 250km along the coast of the Baltic Sea.
With its 10 local editions, a circulation of about 175,000 copies, reaching 200,000 on the week-ends, it is the strongest newspaper in the region.
Manfred von Thien, chief editor of Ostsee-Zeitung, said: "In our business relying on a trusted and solid partner is of primary importance.
