Digital Printer-Cutter Easier And Faster Operation

A new inkjet digital printer-cutter system series has been included in Roland DG Corporation range of products distributed by Atech.

The Versacamm VP series includes the 30 inch VP-300 and 54-inch VP-540.

The series is said to feature a new compact design and hardware and software updates making it easier and faster to provide durable graphics.

The design is tailored for print houses, copy shops and retail environments and makes the systems easy enough for novice professionals to master, claimed Atech.

The Versacamm VP systems can perform as a printer, printer-cutter, or as a stand-alone cutter and supports a variety of media, including self-adhesive vinyl, banner, paper, film and heat transfer paper, added the company.

The systems come with Versaworks 2.2 RIP software developed by Roland for the company's inkjet technology and includes several enhancements, including Roland Color - the company's new spot colour fidelity system.

Versaworks 2.2 also incorporates variable data printing for labels, name badges, plaques, POP displays and menus, amongst other applications.

Versaworks can be updated automatically though the internet and is compatible with Windows 2000/XP operating systems, added the company.
