An Atech product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jun 7, 2007

A new large format printer with a dedicated flatbed and an active print area of 2m x 3m is now available from UK distributor of large format print and imaging systems, Atech.

The Manta KM8/720UV also features a vacuum system with uniform suction at any given point on an aluminium sandwich desk, added Atech.

The machine also offers twin mode, a system that cuts-out preparation time in the course of printing by having two virtual working desks that enables the operator to set up the starting point for multiple printing operations independently.

It also has continuous cooling regulation of the UV-lamps, providing the highest quality curing and uses the new Konica Minolta printhead system at 720 cots per inch (dpi) resolution, claimed Atech.

It is said to produce instant-dry prints ready to cut and apply and creates long-lasting indoor and outdoor signage for signs and designs.

The Manta KM8/720UV is capable of printing on various media types, including PVC sheeting, plexiglass, wood, glass, ceramics, metals, foam, thermocol and textiles.

Atech's managing director, Allan Ashman, said: "The Manta is an excellent tool to boost production and profitability as it increases the customer's capacity for print volume and can reduce costs at the same time.

The twin mode is the element that makes it stand-out amongst competitor products, which makes it possible for non-stop printing.

It is also easy to use and maintain, which also reduces production down-time.".
