Art Systems is now shipping the brand new Hewlett-Packard DesignJet 10, 20 and 50ps inkjets announced earlier this month by HP.

The A3 plus printers are designed to meet the exact needs of the graphics marketplace and are targeted to provide affordable and flexible, professional printing solutions and proofing capabilities on Windows and Macintosh platforms.

End-to-end colour management, incorporating Macintosh and Windows ICC profiles, ensures consistency and true colour throughout the print run.

The innovative closed colour loop system pre-calibrates the printer to defined colour standards, with integrated colour sensors on the printer continually monitoring and adjusting to maintain the selected standard.

Remote proofing capabilities enable the forwarding of respective data and set-up files via the Internet in order in order to print the same job on another printer at exactly the same levels of quality.

With ultra-fine ink droplets just 4pl (pico litres) in size, great accuracy is attained by the printer as well as wider control over hues and tones.

HP's colour layering technology, in conjunction with the six colour print heads, widens the colour capabilities spectrum using dye-based inks and produces economically, dense, extremely high quality images.

The new machines use less ink, thus enabling faster printing and less frequent replenishment whilst also maintaining high gloss for proofing.
