The Tornado series doubles as a hot and cold laminator and consists of two different width units, the Tornado 1080 and 1600.

Originally launched in January 2004, the Xativa series of laminators was developed to supply customers with reliable, affordable systems with a full technical back up service.

The Tempest and Tornado also feature claimed easy to use controls and loading procedures.

Minimal training is required for both series, added the company.

The Tempest and Tornado series are claimed to mount, laminate and encapsulate, and are aimed at the wide format print finishing, point of sale, signage and vehicle livery markets.

Both are capable of laminating items up to 25mm in thickness on various media, said Artsystems.

Artystems sales director, Steve Hawker, said: "It is our aim to supply no nonsense lamination to the market that is simple but productive.

The Tempest and Tornado will complete the current Xativa range, which also includes the Emseal 1020, Triseal 1360 and Applikator 2R.

They are all mid-price, high output and very reliable and in making these additions to the Xativa range we will strengthen our one-stop shop product offer in the wide-format printing and imaging systems market." All Xativa laminators are supplied with a three-year parts warranty, which can be extended for another three years at an additional cost.

Artsystems will provide on site installation, training and service where necessary and trained in-house personnel can provide service support by telephone.

Artsystems also supplies standard hot and cold film, from stock, in sizes suitable for the wide-format industry.
