Three ways to bring lamination in-house
Autobond has developed a new range of laminating equipment, including thermal and water-based systems.
"We looked at laminators from all the leading manufacturers before we installed our first Autobond machine when the company was formed in 1996.
We have purchased three Autobond models over the years, so when it came to investing in our fourth laminator we knew from experience that Autobond would deliver a reliable, cost effective and top quality machine.
Autobond offers the highest standards in terms of training and support, combined with a professional and friendly service," said Alan McMorris who founded the company with Alyn Watson.

Autobond has launched a manual-fed version of its landscape Sheetmaster.
He said that the Compact 102T was quickly in full production, producing 4,000 B1 sheets an hour.
The new laminator sits beside the company's existing Compact 76TP and both machines are operated 16 hours a day, handling run lengths from 500 to 80,000 sheets on stock ranging from 115gsm to 450gsm.
"Make-readies are extremely swift, while the palletised sheet feeder means that we can simply transfer printed work delivered on a pallet straight from the customer's van up to the laminator," added McMorris.
The facilities at Belfast Print Finishers include die cutting, folding and gluing and UV varnishing.
The latest investment enables the company to provide a complete print finishing service.
Most of the work handled at the site consists of high quality commercial print, including regular magazine and prospectus work.
The facilities have allowed Belfast Print Finishers to reach a wider customer base, which in turn is bringing in more laminating work.
Four additional staff, bringing the total to 23, have accompanied the new equipment.
While customers are predominantly based in Northern Ireland, the finishing house is looking to expand into Southern Ireland as well.
"We are currently based at three separate sites and plan to bring our facilities together to create an even stronger unit under one roof later this year.
With this latest investment and all the subsequent changes occurring, including the increasing volumes of work we are winning, we are looking forward to a successful 2004," said McMorris.
