About 200 people from around Poland participated in the workshops, learning about the theoretical and practical matters of applying self-adhesive media from Avery Dennison Graphics and Reflective Division.
There were also similar events with the company's Polish dealers - Plastics Group and Tuplex.
The workshops' success in Poland convinced the company to organise similar events in the other countries.
As in Poland, they will be held in co-operation with Avery's local partners and with support of Avery Dennison Graphics and Reflective Division headquarters' representatives.
Katarzyna Kozinska, Avery Dennison Graphics and Reflective Division's regional manager for eastern Europe, said: "The main goal of the events is to enhance the Avery brand in east European countries, whilst strengthening the company's sales network in those markets." "The workshops in the Baltic states were supported by Studio Plastyczne FX and the company's owner, Krzysztof Wolski, conducted the practical part of the events.
Studio Plastyczne FX, as Avery Dennison's authorised training centre, will participate in other workshops organised around Europe as well," added Kozinska.
Another workshop was staged in Croatia and was co-organised by Avery Dennison and Belinamont of Zagreb.
The theoretical part, conducted by Hans van den Berg from Avery's European headquarters, covered the presentation of substrates and glues used for applying the particular media in different temperatures.
Another headquarters' representative, Ferry Muhlenbruch, discussed the use of display and graphic foils.
Katarzyna Kozinska commented: "The training co-organised with Belinamont was the first event devoted to professional self-adhesive foils applying organised in the Croatian market.
That's why we are very glad we can take part in educating and popularising knowledge on this topic amongst companies from this country.
Becasue of the great interest amongst the participants, we are planning the next training session in Croatia during May or June, during the Intergrafika trade fair in Zagreb." Kozinska said that the events in Poland, the Baltic states and Croatia are just the beginning of Avery Dennison Graphics and Reflective Division's expansion in the eastern Europe.
She explained: "We have already taken first steps in organising similar events in other countries of the region.
We have strong business partners there, who are deeply interested in further educating customers.
That's why we also proceed with intensive training for our trade representatives from those countries." And she added: "We hope that soon our customers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, the Baltic states and the remaining countries of former Yugoslavia will have an opportunity to participate in events similar to those organised in Poland, Lithuania or Croatia.".
