To be held over the first two days of the exhibition, from December 7 - 8, AWA Info Label Conference 2006 is jointly organised by India Label Show and AWA Conferences and Events.

The conference programme is arranged in four topical sessions over the two days, so that potential delegates can choose to register for the whole conference, or combine a visit to the exhibition with selected sessions of particular interest.

To be held in the conference facility adjacent to the exhibition at New Delhi's Pragati Maidan, AWA Info Label Conference 2006 focuses on emerging technologies, trends, and applications with particular reference to the developing Indian market, said the organiser.

Speakers will include Corey M Reardon, president and chief executive officer of AWA Alexander Watson Associates, the business-to-business market research and consulting firm in the packaging, coating and converting industries.

Also involved will be international suppliers of materials, machinery and consumables, local suppliers and converters, as well as users.

The conference will open with a session covering the label and product decoration market in India, identifying trends and setting the sub-continent within a global context.

The second session will focus on printing and converting trends and developments in emerging imaging technologies.

AIDC - automatic identification and data capture - will be the topic of the third session, which will include a paper on RFID, as well as presentations on product authentication and brand security, which will comprise the final session.
