Artwork Systems Group achieved what it described as excellent sales results at the Graph and Converting Expo trade show in Chicago, Illinois (USA).

Order intake amounted to US$2.1 million during the four-day show, which is a success beyond the company's expectations and reflects an industry on the rebound in the USA believes Artwork Systems.

Graph and Converting Expo was the largest and most important pre-press and printing trade show in the United States this year.

During the show, visitors were able to get the first US look at a breadth of Artwork Systems' certified automation products, such as Odystar Packaging, Equinox and version 7 of Enfocus Pitstop.

The company said that after a slow summer period, the revenue generated from the sales will contribute to a good start of the first quarter of the new fiscal year that started on October 1.

Guido Van der Schueren, Artwork Systems chairman, commented: "Although our expectations were conservative, this was beyond anything that I expected.

Customers are digging deeper to gain an understanding of the systems.

They are pushing us hard to show the numbers.

We expect this trend to continue.
