Asset Finance Tailored To Printing And Packaging
The print and packaging team of Bank of Scotland Corporate's Asset Finance Division sponsored the second finance and investment national conference, which took place in Leeds (UK).
The event was supported and attended by the bank's printing and packaging specialists, which is said to provide a range of funding options specifically for those industries.
The conference showcased some examples of best practice and provided a platform for comment which is set to shape the future of the industry, said Bank of Scotland.
According to Bank of Scotland, asset finance has a pivotal role to play in ensuring that a business utilises the most appropriate financing instrument for a given situation.
The bank claimed that it does not set hard and fast rules about minimum levels of advance.
Instead it recognises that customers have smaller equipment requirements, as well as larger ones.
Geoff Eavis, director of asset finance at the print and packaging division at Bank of Scotland Corporate, said: "We were delighted to sponsor the conference in its second year and reaffirm our commitment to the printing and packaging sector.
Not only did we receive great feedback on our asset finance printing and packaging support but we were interested to hear the views of those within the industry who predicted a period of consolidation is on the way.
And he continued: "Naturally, any consolidation involves cementing asset provision and Bank of Scotland Corporate will work hard to support the industry in this way.
The conference was hosted by Print Yorkshire, which has made Bank of Scotland Corporate its preferred financial supplier.
Robert McClements of Print Yorkshire explained: "Conference delegates displayed a real passion for the industry that bodes well for the next 12 months and beyond and Print Yorkshire is delighted to enter this period with Bank of Scotland Corporate as part of our team.
Not only does the bank understand asset finance but it also appreciates printing and packaging and that approach is much more beneficial to our business needs than a standard 'one size fits all' approach, which can be damaging to those in an industry like ours.
