New Man Heads Baldwin In Europe

Baldwin Technology Company has appointed Karl Puhringer as vice president of Baldwin Europe with responsibility for the operating performance, strategic direction and organisation of Baldwin in Europe

Baldwin Technology Company has appointed Karl Puhringer as vice president of Baldwin Europe with responsibility for the operating performance, strategic direction and organisation of Baldwin in Europe.

Gerald Nathe, chairman and chief executive officer of Baldwin commented: "Appointing a vice president of Europe who understands the strategic and commercial importance of both the European markets and, very specifically, its OEMs, is important.

I am confident that Karl Puhringer has the experience, character and commitment to lead Baldwin Europe in a very challenging time and as a member of our executive management team ensures the voice of the European market will be clearly heard." On his additional responsibilities, Puhringer added: "Together with our European management team, we will further strengthen our relationships with both OEM customers and end-users and increase our pace of business and technical innovation.

I am looking forward to new responsibilities and opportunities." Puhringer will also continue in his role as head of Baldwin Germany GmbH.

Puhringer joined Baldwin from A.T.

Kearney in Munich, where he was responsible for project management of engagements at the operations practice.

Prior to this, he was president and managing director at Voest-Alpine Indonesia and Voest-Alpine Ice Mexico respectively.

Puhringer has an MSc.

in Technical Physics from the Technical University in Vienna and a Masters Degree in Management from Stanford University.
