Spray Dampening For Any Stock At Any Press Speed
Baldwin Technology Company, the manufacturer of newspaper press ancillary equipment, has launched its Litho Spray Maxima spray dampening system.
Last year Baldwin Germany consolidated several sites in Augsburg when it moved in to nearby Friedberg.
The new location then became Baldwin's Global Competence Centre for commercial sheet-fed printing and web printing products.
Subsequently, Baldwin acquired the former Oxy-Dry Corporation, adding its brush cleaning product lines at Egelsbach to Baldwin's existing cloth blanket cleaning products.
Baldwin IVT in Sweden, a manufacturer of press drying systems, is also part of the Global Competence Centre.
Dr Weisser commented: "I was immediately intrigued and interested when I heard about the position and opportunity at Baldwin Technology and it's an exciting time to join a world leader in process automation equipment.
Whilst a great deal has been achieved since the company took over Oxy-Dry last year, there are still significant benefits to be obtained by further integration of the technologies, marketing, the factories and the people.
After only a few weeks in my new position I've been very impressed by the commitment and knowledge of the employees at the three sites, which between them employ approximately 300 people." Karl Puhringer, the president and chief executive officer of Baldwin, said: "We're delighted to have Steffen Weisser join Baldwin to spearhead our growth in Germany and to oversee the continued integration of industry leading technologies.
The work carried out by our Commercial Competence Centre research and development teams, when combined with recent alliances and acquisitions, is generating new and improved technologies in web and press cleaning, gluing and filtration.
We are confident that under the direction of Dr Weisser, these developments in Germany will continue at an accelerated pace.".
