US$4m Blanket Cleaning And Spray
Dampening Order
With an order for US$4 million of blanket cleaning and spray dampening equipment, Baldwin Technology has sealed a deal via Baldwin Japan with Sankei Newspaper Company.
The equipment, which is expected to be delivered from April through to September, will be fitted to five Mitsubishi presses at Sankei's Mihara and Oyodo printing plants and Baldwin said its technology was chosen because of its reliability and low maintenance requirements Sankei Newspaper Company publishes the Sankei Shimbun, a daily newspaper distributed in the Tokyo and Osaka areas with a circulation of around two million copies per day, making it one of the largest national newspapers in Japan, added Baldwin
Baldwin president and chief executive officer, Karl Puehringer, said: "We believe this order shows another vote of confidence in Baldwin's technology and our ability to help newspaper printers streamline processes and achieve greater production efficiencies.".
