Peter Vincent has become the BPIF's new National Technical Advisor

Peter Vincent has become the BPIF's new National Technical Advisor following the retirement of Peter Wade after 18 years' service.

His role will be to facilitate the transfer of technical knowledge to members and to help them in all aspects of both conventional and digital technology.

Not only will this involve developing a specialist technical area on the BPIF website, www.britishprint.com, which will provide information, solutions and useful links, but also arranging regional and national seminars to assist members with particular issues such as the adoption of e-commerce and digital workflows.

?Digital technology is the cornerstone of modern printing and Peter's considerable experience, both within the traditional side of the industry with companies such as CPI, and latterly as Head of Graphic Arts Marketing with Xerox, gives him a close understanding of what is technically feasible and available in the market, but also of the challenges faced by companies looking to implement new technology for practical, commercial success,? says Mike Hopkins, BPIF Membership Director.

?This is the perfect way to stay attuned to the amazing technology which is constantly being developed for this industry.

It will be a hard task to fill Peter Wade's shoes, however he has left a strong legacy for me to take over and to grow.

I can't imagine a much more exciting place to be in the industry right now,? says Peter Vincent.
