Adare Halycon Improves Quality and Green Managemen
Adare Halcyon has secured the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard and has also just upgraded its quality management system to comply with the new ISO 9001:2000.
The company said that attendees tapped in to Pureprint's experience with special printing projects, such as making the most of mono printing, using spot colours and integrating metallics.
The presentations were delivered by Aaron Archer, group technical manager at Pureprint Group and Karl Lawrence, systems and training technician.
The groups at each session are kept to a maximum of 10 people to ensure that attendees can ask as many questions as they need, added the company.
Aaron Archer commented: "Technology moves so fast these days and we need to find creative ways to communicate everything that is new to our client base.
We have seen that the sessions create an active dialogue between us and our customers, exploring new opportunities in working practices and product innovation.
At the same time, clients seem to enjoy sharing experiences amongst themselves and in some cases discovering answers to common problems that have plagued them some time." David Smith, pre-press manager at Liz Earle Cosmetics, attended one of the sessions and said: "The technical team at Pureprint has great knowledge of PDF generation, soft proofing via the web and the processes involved in reaching the ISO 12647 standard.
Aaron and Karl communicated this information in a fun and intuitive way making excellent use of visual presentation." Andhe continued: "The day has given me the knowledge to push forward and show my company the advantages of soft proofing, which will not only speed up the production process, but also reduce costs incurred due to last minute changes to copy.
Finally the knowledge gained on ISO 12647 was invaluable and I will certainly start investigating ways to implement this within our own workflow." Pureprint Group is planning to hold more technical days and will be updating the agenda with new technological developments as they get identified and evaluated by the company's research and development team.
