Colour Proofing Software Passes IPA Tests

The latest version of the Elecroc Eagleproof 4 colour proofing software has passed tests at the IPA Proofing Round Up 2007.

Proofs were printed on Epson 9800 printers using Epson S041393 paper.

The Elecroc Eagleproof 4 from Beijing Founder is available as stand-alone product and is the integrated core colour proof module of Founder's Elecroc PDF workflow system.

With a Delta E value of less than one, Founder said it was able to prove that its the Elecroc Eagleproof 4 software can consistently create colour proofs and match Pantone colours accurately.

In addition, to enable Elecroc Eagleproof 4.0 to predict the colour and content of the final press output, the software provides a function that will automatically identify deviation from the original state and fix it, ensuring proof accuracy.

Version 4.0 of the software also utilises the X-Rite colour engine and supports Pantone Colour Libraries, as well as new printers including those from Epson, Canon and HP.

Although outside of Asia Founder said that its proofing software only enjoys a small market share, according to Dong Zaidong, Founder's international business division's general manager, the company expects its proofing business to grow as its popular PDF workflow software continues to find success.

He added that the company continues to strengthen its international dealer network.
