Super White Recycled Paper Now Available In UK

Navigator Hybrid, a new grade of papers from Portucel Soporcel is now being stocked by UK paper merchant Beswick Paper.

Said to be aimed at users with high environmental concerns, Navigator Hybrid is claimed to be unlike other recycled paper products in that it is a premium, high performance, super white product.

According to Beswick Paper, the term hybrid defines the product, in that it is a fusion of re-used and virgin fibres.

Navigator Hybrid is available from the company in A4 80gsm and A3 80gsm sizes and weights.

Beswick Paper added that Navigator Hybrid is manufactured at a mill that is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 environmental management systems, where the production process is free from chlorine gas.

In addition, 80 per cent of the energy used by Portucel Soporcel to produce the product comes from renewable sources.

The UK paper merchant commented that Portucel Soporcel emphasises the environment and, in particular, corporate social responsibility, with the manufacturer being a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).

The WBCSD is a global association of 200 companies dealing exclusively with business and sustainable development.

According to Beswick, Navigator Hybrid Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, the grade also bears the National Association of Paper Merchants (NAPM) Recycled Mark.
