Black and Decker is launching the Decormate multi-tool with an in-store advertising campaign created by Bezier Bezier said that the permanent in-store unit was designed to have unisex appeal, however incorporated a softened, curved design to appeal to the female shopper in what is traditionally a very masculine market

The unit will promote the new Decormate - a tool with interchangeable heads that can be used as a drill, sander or scraper.

Jennie Aspin, assistant product manager, at Black and Decker said: "With an increase of television shows such as 'DIY SOS' and 'Homefront' the balance between male and female DIYers is evening out with both sexes having an equal interest in home improvements.

We want to tackle this in the way we promote products in-store to ensure they have unisex appeal." The unit was designed and produced by retail media company Bezier and will appear in 323 B and Q stores during this month.
