Bezier, the UK in-store marketing agency and point of purchase (POP) material producer, has appointed Janette Young to the position of group procurement director.

Young has experience at senior level in the procurement of direct and indirect goods within a range of FMCG industries.

Latterly, during seven years with Uniq, she held the post of procurement director at Indirects - Europe.

In her new role she will be responsible for developing Bezier's strategic procurement policies, ensuring that the group maximises its purchasing power, whilst developing strategic partnerships with key suppliers.

Young will work closely with all existing site-based procurement professionals throughout the enlarged Bezier group.

Bezier said that Young also has a proven track record of delivering cost savings and working alongside sales and marketing teams to execute profitable sales growth.

Mark Shaw, chief executive officer of the Bezier group, said: "We're delighted that Janette has joined us, and look forward to her contribution in driving Bezier's strategy forwards.

I'm confident that with such a high calibre of experience in this area, Janette will contribute significantly to our future prosperity and growth." Young's appointment follows Bezier's acquisition of Leeds brand communications agency Poulters, and Leicester-based permanent POP services supplier, Pointer, last year.
