Online POS Management Eases Ordering
Bezier has launched a website with its client, UK retailer Homebase, to make ordering and delivery of POS simpler for stores.
The new system is the result of the company's 'POS step change' programme designed to increase accuracy, make POS easier to order for store staff and to make store processes more efficient.
The fully interactive system has streamlined the ordering process and means that staff in-store can now use the site to search, see and order individual pieces of POS directly - all in a simple step by step fashion.
The increased flexibility in the new system means that gaps within displays can be filled quickly, said Bezier.
The company believes that it also it also demonstrates to store staff what a good display looks like, increasing compliance and reducing POS wastage.
Martin Thurley, step change manager for store marketing communications at Homebase, said: "We are delighted with the new system.
We pride ourselves on trying to make things easy for our store colleagues and the launch of this website has not only made it easy but also made a significant difference to time saving in stores.
Over 90 per cent are now using the system and 94 per centy of our stores say it has made it significantly easier to search and order for missing and damaged POS." And he explained: "We are about to add further functionality that enables each store to view its own profile, thereby helping us to increase accuracy of our despatches and to reduce POS wastage." Emma Webb, POS controller at Homebase's Stratford upon Avon store, added: "I've started to use the system regularly and I find being able to see the pictures rather than having to read through lots of small print a great help.
You can easily see what you've ordered and equally importantly, when you're going to get it." Glenn Batty, Bezier's group rechnology director, said: "Our e-solutions team invested a lot of time developing this site working alongside the Homebase marketing and IT teams and we're very pleased with how it has been received.
It's been great to work with Homebase on this project, which has enabled both companies to lead the field with this innovation.
This system has potential benefits for many of our clients and we look forward to introducing similar technology to the rest of our client portfolio.".
