BASF Printing Systems has announced that Tony Kington, the sales and marketing director for print media, is leaving the company.

With immediate effect Russell Foxley, the newly-appointed managing director of BASF Printing Systems Limited, will assume additional responsibility for print media sales.

Foxley has worked for the company since 1992 when he joined as finance and administration manager.

He later became the company's finance director in 1997 and in 2001 he took over as general manager of BASF Printing Systems.

During his time with the company he has successfully steered BASF Printing Systems through difficult times for the industry by ensuring that sound financial management underpinned BASF's business strategy at every level.

He has been involved in all key aspects of decision-making.

"BASF Group has demonstrated its commitment to positively backing Printing Systems Limited in the UK and my aim is to continue to maintain profitability as part of a European group of companies.

We are already targeting a larger market share of the UK market, having already performed extremely well in the sheet fed sector and we are now looking to expand upon this success into other areas of the UK market," said Foxley.
