The British Printing Industry's (BPIF) legal department has doubled its capacity and welcomed two new employees.

The British Printing Industry's (BPIF) legal department has doubled its capacity and welcomed two new employees.

And the organisation has also announced that the legal department will be available at the Digital Printing World exhibition at Earls Court (London) between October 18-20 for 20-minute free advice slots on employment and commercial law.

Nicola Langley, a commercial solicitor with 15 years' experience and Michelle Leney an administrator with 20 years' experience in construction and planning work have joined the team.

Langley joins the team after spending 10 years in private practice, and five years as an in-house lawyer.

She specialises in commercial law, including contract and negligence, conducting litigation in the civil courts and advising on non-contentious matters.

She said: "I'm very much looking forward to helping the members of BPIF with all their commercial and legal issues.

This is an excellent opportunity to bring legal services to businesses in a very direct way." The two new members of staff join Anne Copley, the BPIF's head of legal, who has been qualified for nine years and has spent the last three years working for the organisation, before which she was a partner in private practice specialising in employment, personal injury and commercial law.

Coply commented: "Nicola and Michelle bring with them a wealth of experience and not only will we now have twice the capacity to serve BPIF members in giving advice and representation, we will now also be in a position to launch new products and services over coming months.

Watch this space." The BPIF Legal department provides a full range of legal services to BPIF platinum members, including full advice and representation at employment tribunals, telephone and on-line advice from mergers to company law, and documentation.
