In the five months since April 2005, 86 corporate members and 20 associate (supplier) members have joined the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF).

In the five months since April 2005, 86 corporate members and 20 associate (supplier) members have joined the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF).

New members are from all sizes of company with 57 companies having less than 21 staff, 14 with 21 - 50, 11 with 51-100 and four companies with over 100 employees.

That is more than double the number that joined during the same period in 2004 (43).

More than 55 per cent of companies have joined at platinum level, which offers the highest level of service including on-site support from regional advisors and representation at employment tribunals amongst others.

BPIF membership development manager Chris Selby is delighted with the achievement: "The BPIF's stated goal is to have 80 per cent of the industry by turnover in membership by 2015 and this is a great start.

Not only do we have the flexibility of membership options to suit a wide range of business needs but our newly validated value added statement proves that we can deliver a return to members and the industry on their investment of 28:1.

That alone is a compelling reason to join." Among new members are Stephens and George, The Print Factory, Newsquest Bradford and Delta Print and Packaging.

Twenty-two members have joined in the last month alone and they include Domino UK, Heath Press, Lazar Print, Optecon, Arco, Diji Print, Polestar Sheffield, Print 4 Sheffield, Print Leeds, Fluidair International and Jefferson Resourcing.

Other new members that joined in July include Adare Intellidata, F E Burman, Precision Printing Company, Southdowns Print Finishers, Studio Blackheath, Defence Storage and Dist Agency, Falmouth Printing, G and L Consultants, Lazarus Press, Peppermint Print and the University Of Glamorgan.
