Mike Hopkins, director of membership of the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF) won funding from the DTI Global Watch Mission programme to lead a group of UK printers on a study tour to New York State to assess the state of digital printing in that area.

Visits were not only made to US digital printers but also to Xerox, Kodak Nexpress and Rochester Institute of Technology.

The report on the visit with conclusions and recommendations will be presented at the seminar in Leeds.

Also on the same day the Centre for Industrial Collaboration at Leeds University will be presenting its thoughts on the future of digital printing.
